I am interested in the genetics of human chemosensory perception. My current projects include: 1) the relationships between candidate receptor genes and salty bitter, savory, sweet, and sour taste perception; and 2) the genetics of human salivary enzymes. I am examining the genetics of single stimulus perception as well as of mixture interactions.
