Supporting data for published and submitted papers

All data are available as Excel 2000 files.  Please contact Michael Tordoff by e-mail for other electronic formats.

Food intake, water intake, body weight, and spout side preference of 28 strains (129 Kb)

Values for individual subjects.  These data are also available in a slightly different format on the Mouse Phenome Database.  The methods and results have been published: Bachmanov, A.A., Reed, D.R. Beauchamp, G.K., and Tordoff, M.G. Body weight, food intake, water intake, and drinking spout side preference of 28 mouse strains. Behavior Genetics, 32, 435-443, 2002.

Mineral solution intake by 28 strains (452 Kb)

Means and correlations between 28 strains of mice given KCl, NH4Cl, CaCl2 and NaCl.  These data are also available in a slightly different format on the Mouse Phenome Database.  The methods and results have been published:.  Bachmanov A.A, Beauchamp G.K. and Tordoff M.G. Avidity for KCl, NH4Cl, CaCl2 and NaCl solutions by 28 mouse strains. Behavior Genetics, 32: 445-457, 2002.

NaCl intake by 28 strains (283 Kb)

NaCl intake data for each subject, including genotypes, dates of birth, shipping dates and testing dates.  This is a more detailed description of some of the “mineral solution by 28 strains” results.  A subset of these data are available on the Mouse Phenome Database.  The methods and results have been published.  Bachmanov A.A, Beauchamp G.K. and Tordoff M.G. Avidity for KCl, NH4Cl, CaCl2 and NaCl solutions by 28 mouse strains. Behavior Genetics, 32: 445-457, 2002.

Calcium intake and blood calcium in 28 strains (not yet available; please e-mail for information)

Means and correlations between calcium intake (28 strains) and blood ionized calcium (26 strains) concentrations.

Calcium and sodium intake and blood calcium in 40 strains (1096 Kb)

Individual data, strain means, and means of each sex from groups of ~10 male and ~10 female mice of 40 strains tested with three concentrations of CaCl2, CaLa (lactate), NaCl, and NaLa.  These are data for the MPD project Survey of calcium and sodium intake and metabolism.

Body composition and bone mineral content: genotype-phenotype association of 40 inbred mouse strains  Submitted to Mammalian Genome, April 2004.
