Mentoring Network

To facilitate continued interaction between scientists and students as well as between alumni and students, the Monell Center created a student mentoring network. To formalize this, Monell alumni are invited to meet with our summer apprentices, relating their experiences and describing how their research experiences helped them focus on their goals and the challenges they have faced during college and beyond. In 2001, we held a reunion for more than 80 alumni of Monell's Training Program. Students networked with alumni and staff and many discussions centered on career choices, studying abroad, and giving back to the community.
